How it came about…
A couple of birthdays ago, I decided I wanted to go to Jamaica. My birthday came and went and of course, life got in the way and it never happened. I was pretty bummed
After searching and figuring out where to stay, we found ourselves in a room at the Couple’s Tower Isle Resort located in the city of Ocho Rios. This is my first time staying at an all-inclusive resort, so I wasn’t sure what I was getting myself into. One downside from what I’ve read is that people often miss out on experiences beyond the vicinity of where they are
With this in mind, we made sure to find other activities or excursions outside of the resort. After looking up things to do in Jamaica, the Dunn’s River Falls was on top of our list. Luckily, our stay included a choice of excursion and one of them is a guided tour of Dunn’s Falls. We were told to meet at the lobby at a certain time for our shuttle. After having breakfast in one of their patio restaurant, where I had an awesome choice from a variety of breakfast items coupled with an amazing view of the beach, I headed downstairs. If you’re lucky enough, you can meet their resident kitty who joined us for breakfast that morning.
What’s there to do…
Part of the reason we chose to stay in Couple’s Tower Isle in Ocho Rios was
The adventure didn’t stop there. Couple’s Tower offered plenty of other excursions included in our stay. The next day, I experienced a glass bottom boat tour around the island. It was pretty amazing seeing the sea life from under us. My favorite part of the tour is seeing the coral reef and divers exploring a shipwreck.
After the tour, we decided to hang out on the beach with drinks in our hands and just soak up the sun. There were no shortage of entertainment either. On my last night on the island, we attended a cocktail party and dinner on the beach with live entertainment for the guests. There are so many positive things on my stay at this resort, and I have to give a shoutout to the staff who were all so friendly and fun!
This trip was everything I imagined and more. I was so happy to make this happen after being disappointed the first time.

We used to go to an all inclusive every February…then we had a baby. Can’t wait to get back into the winter vacation ritual again!

This looks like an amazing way to spend a birthday! I also had plans of going to Jamaica for my birthday last year but unfortunately, it didn’t happen. I’m shooting for this year or next year (and will hopefully bring my boyfriend along). I’ll definitely look into this resort. It looks beautiful!
